Greece Release of Liability & Guest Acknowledgment
We are excited that you have chosen Ember & Co. for your upcoming Greece experience. This itinerary has been thoughtfully designed to balance curated cultural experiences, shared regional meals, leisure time, and guided activities throughout the historic landscape of Crete and/or Santorini.
Please review the full itinerary carefully prior to completing your registration. While every effort is made to create a safe, well-organized experience, international travel, maritime transit, and group activities involve inherent risks, and unforeseen circumstances may occur.
By registering for this trip, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk I understand that international travel and group experiences involve inherent risks, including but not limited to walking on uneven cobblestones, navigating ancient ruins, hiking, stairs, boat or ferry transit across open waters, changing weather conditions, domestic and international transportation, participation in wine tastings, and exposure to alcohol. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for my participation in all scheduled and optional activities.
Activities & Physical Considerations I confirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in the itinerary as outlined. I understand that navigating Greek villages, historic sites, and coastal landscapes involves walking, standing, climbing stairs, and traversing uneven, steep, or unpaved terrain. I acknowledge that I may opt out of any activity at my discretion, and that no refunds or credits will be issued for missed activities or unused portions of the itinerary.
Maritime & High-Speed Ferry Transit I acknowledge that this itinerary involves maritime transit, including high-speed ferries and/or private boat excursions across the Aegean Sea. I understand that sea travel carries inherent risks, including weather-dependent delays, rough waters, motion sickness, and boarding or disembarking vessels. I agree to follow all safety protocols outlined by vessel crew members and trip hosts.
Alcohol Consumption & Volcanic Wine Tastings I understand that regional wine tastings and alcohol-inclusive culinary experiences are part of this trip. I agree to consume alcohol responsibly and understand that Ember & Co. is not responsible for incidents, injuries, damages, or losses resulting from excessive or irresponsible alcohol consumption.
Transportation Policies & Guest Financial Responsibility I acknowledge that private group ground transportation and maritime transits are arranged for scheduled activities during the trip through licensed third-party providers. Ember & Co. does not own or operate these transportation services and is not responsible for actions, delays, damages, or fees assessed by the providers.
I agree to follow all transportation guidelines provided by drivers, captains, and trip hosts. I understand and agree that I am financially responsible for any costs, damage fees, cleaning fees, or incidental charges incurred as a result of my actions during transport services. I authorize Ember & Co. to charge the credit card on file for any such incidentals or penalty fees assessed by third-party providers due to my actions.
Third-Party Destination Management & Local Vendors I understand that Ember & Co. acts solely as a coordinator and partners with a local Destination Management Company (DMC) alongside independent third-party operators for accommodations, ground transport, ferry lines, local guides, restaurants, and activity venues. I acknowledge that Ember & Co. is not liable for delays, cancellations, injuries, losses, damages, or changes caused by these independent local entities.
International Travel Requirements & Documents I confirm that I am solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all valid travel documentation required for entry into Greece, including a passport valid for at least six months beyond my travel dates, and any required visas or entry forms. I understand that entry requirements are subject to change and that Ember & Co. is not responsible if I am denied boarding or entry into the country.
Travel Insurance Mandatory Acknowledgment I acknowledge that comprehensive international travel insurance is strongly recommended for this journey. I understand that I am exclusively responsible for securing appropriate coverage to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, including medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, trip interruption, flight delays, cancellation, or loss of personal belongings.
Release of Liability In consideration of Ember & Co. arranging this international travel experience, I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Ember & Co., its owners, employees, contractors, hosts, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from injury, illness, medical emergencies, loss, delay, damages, expenses, or incidents occurring during, before, or after the connection with the trip.
Emergency Contact I agree to provide accurate, up-to-date emergency contact information and authorize Ember & Co. or its local partners to share necessary information with medical personnel in the event of an emergency.
Acknowledgment By completing registration and checking the acknowledgment box, I confirm that I have reviewed the Greece itinerary in full, understand the risks associated with international travel, group activities, maritime transit, and alcohol consumption, and agree to the legally binding terms outlined above.
